Training Ground Collision Leaves Dirk Kuyt a Mess

Dirk Kuyt must have legions of female fans across the world who appreciate his stunning good looks, but they might want to reconsider following a training ground run-in with Dutch teammate Jonathan De Guzman. And by run-in we mean it was like two derailed trains smashing into one another.

Training prior to the Dutch side’s friendly against Portugal this week, the players collided head-on during a drill, making both miss the friendly and perhaps even their club teams’ next match. Poor Dirk Kuyt looks like he came away from it a little worse:

Manchester City POV training with a GoPro

If you’ve ever wondered what a Premier League practice looked like from a player’s point of view, your questions have been answered.

Thanks to a GoPro video camera, Manchester City have given fans a look at what training is like through the eyes of Carlos Tevez, Joe Hart, and Samir Nasri. It’s fascinating to see the precision passing from such a close angle.

Hopefully next time they keep the cameras on after training so we can see what it’s like riding home in Ferraris and hitting the clubs in Manchester.

Brooklyn Beckham trains with QPR, close to joining Academy

David Beckham’s 14-year-old son has been training with recently relegated Queens Park Rangers and while reports have said that he has signed, QPR has confirmed that those reports were a little quick on the trigger.

We may have to wait a little longer for a Beckham to be playing for England again, but at least Brooklyn is on the right track. He could probably just show this video of him putting the moves on PSG defender Thiago Silva earlier this year.

The United States men’s national team hosts a crucial World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica Friday night. With numerous injuries plaguing Jurgen Klinsmann’s squad, you would figure Landon Donovan - USA’s all-time leader in goals and assists - could step in to help his country earn a World Cup bid, right?

Guess again.

The LA Galaxy star, currently on an organized sabbatical, was spotted in Middleton, Wis., earlier this week playing pickup soccer at an indoor facility and wearing, of all things, a University of Wisconsin soccer T-shirt.
