Man United handed millions to reshape squad

Manchester United currently sit seventh in the Premier League, five points off the Champions League places and a staggering 11 points off the summit. For some clubs this wouldn’t be a big deal, but United are used to success and the wealth it brings.

It looks as if the Red Devils hierarchy are going to cave in and hand boss David Moyes a transfer fund of £100-200 million, depending on which newspaper you trust. Moyes wants to spend the money on targets such as Bilbao’s Ander Herrera and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, after missing out on them in the summer. It’s believed he sent a scouting party to watch the pair at the weekend.

Man United to go back for Baines, Herrera

The transfer window may have shut, but there’s no shortage of rumors popping up for future forays into the market. Manchester United again feature heavily after missing out on a host of key market targets. They will be looking to do their business early on in the next window of opportunity. The two names most likely to make the move - according to today’s newspapers - are Everton defender Leighton Baines and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera.
