Pig prank gone wrong in Stoke locker room

Apparently, ham was on Stoke City’s lunch menu.

The club is launching an internal investigation after a bloody pig’s head was found in the locker of striker Kenwyne Jones. Winger Brek Shea Instagrammed a photo of the pig’s head with the caption “Locker room banter gone wild!”

Jones, who is a Rastafarian and does not eat pork, was less than pleased. He reportedly threw a brick through teammate Glenn Whelan’s car window, who was thought to be behind the prank gone wrong.

When it comes to pranking teammates, the Potters go all in. Less than a week before the pig incident, the soon to be retired Michael Owen received a retirement gift from his teammates in the form of his Mercedes being covered in eggs and flour.

Stoke later released a statement:

“The club takes seriously the reports of an incident at our training ground this afternoon. A full internal investigation will be carried out and those responsible for any unacceptable behavior will be dealt with in accordance with the club’s disciplinary procedures.”

Jones’ girlfriend, Kissa Abdullah, expressed her displeasure on Twitter, condemning the perpetrators and stating the prank was “not even close to funny.”

WAG spotted with jeans wide open

It’s every WAG’s worst nightmare to have an unflattering image published by the press. Step forward this young WAG in the pink top with her zip and button undone! What was she thinking?!

The photo was taken as Sunderland scored a late leveler against Stoke at the Stadium of Light. The woman concerned is rumored to be Black Cat’s forward Steven Fletcher’s girlfriend. We can only presume she forgot to zip back up after going to the restroom…

De Gea must prove worth at United

image

What has Stoke City signing Jack Butland got to do with the future of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea? Plenty, if the papers are to be believed. Butland is a potential England international in the making, but only wants first-team football, so that’s why he’s been loaned back to Birmingham. Yes, yes, yes, but what about De Gea? Well the story is that Man United will make a move for Stoke’s Asmir Begovic in the summer if De Gea continues his error-strewn ways at Old Trafford. Check out the rest of the rumors the day after the night before by clicking here.
