1860 Munich release awesome Oktoberfest kit

image

Call the contest! It’s over! 1860 Munich have won the Football Kit World Cup!

Munich’s second-biggest club released their special edition Oktoberfest kits in preparation of the world’s largest country fair, and they are amazing.

Why are they the best?

Two words: Lederhosen shorts!

The traditional Bavarian garb will dominate the Munich landscape as far as the eye can see for the next few weeks, and now 1860 have made sure that goes for the Allianz Arena pitch as well. The plad shirt to go with the lederhosen is also an Oktoberfest staple and completes the whole kit.

Let’s see if big brother Bayern Munich can answer with an improved version of their away kits last season, which were also Oktober-fest inspired but way less awesome:

Real Madrid launch all-black Champions League dragon kit

image

Real Madrid finally launched their new third kits on Tuesday and it was well worth the wait, because it has DRAGONS on it. Dragons!

Renowned Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto created the all-black kit, which Real will most likely don for some of their Champions League matches and whenever they feel like intimidating the hell out of their opponents.

If this won’t break all kinds of kit sale records in the Far East market, I don’t know what will. Well played, Real and Adidas, well played.

Okay, now when’s the next season of “Game of Thrones” starting again?

Bayern Munich present new away kit featuring Dutch flag?

image

Bayern Munich revealed their new away kits for the upcoming season on Friday, and while undeniably sharp, they do have a rather peculiar look to them.

The red and blue horizontal stripes across the white shirt draw strong comparisons to the Dutch flag!

What, did Arjen Robben design these? Is former Bayern manager Louis van Gaal somehow going to take the credit?

Spanish side unveils new Tuxedo kits

The lower leagues in Spain just keep on rolling out ridiculous new jerseys.

A day after second-division side CD Lugo raised eyebrows with their uniquely-themed beer and octopus kits, third tier club Cultural y Deportivo Leonesa classed things up a bit with these new fake tuxedo kits.

Oh yes:

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you have to agree that all these kits coming out of Spain are still better than Manchester United’s new threads.

YUCK!

Real Madrid to wear hot pink away kits next season

Real Madrid revealed their new kits for the 2014/15 season via Twitter on Monday, and they’re certain to raise some eyebrows.

While Real’s home kits remain traditionally white, the away kit is all PINK everything. And not just any pink — hot pink!

Earlier Monday, everyone’s go-to kit blog Todo Sobre Camisetas leaked images of the flashy new uniforms:

Real might want to back order these bad boys right now! You just know the shirts will be flying off the shelves, especially those with the number ‘7’ on the back.

Here’s a sneak peek at what Cristiano Ronaldo might look like in action next year:

Barcelona unveil new home kit for 2014/15 season

image

After introducing their new manager (Luis Enrique) and new starting goalkeeper (Marc-Andre ter Stegen) this week, Barcelona have now unveiled their new home kits for next season. And guess what? They feature blue and red vertical stripes. Imagine that!

Jokes aside, the new shirt looks fresh to death. The vibrant yellow collar from this past season gives way to a unique blue one with a Catalan touch - the Senyera flag in the open v-neck. It’s the first time the Catalan flag has been placed there, and it adds for a little spice!

image

Another change from this year is the center stripe will now be red instead of blue, which is also a good thing because then we can tell Barca’s shirt apart from Bayern Munich’s new kit.

Well done, Barca, well done.

Germany and Spain World Cup jerseys leaked?

image

Image: FootyHeadlines.com

Can you feel it? The best time of the year is near. No, not Christmas. World Cup Jersey Leaking Time, of course!

With 2014 creeping ever closer, kit suppliers for next year’s World Cup teams are eager to release their jerseys just in time for the holiday season. And that means we should be receiving more leaked images of said kits each and every week. Mexico became the first team to officially release their World Cup kit (if they make it!), showing them off in their last World Cup qualifier vs Panama. But until the other nations hold their announcements, the fun is all in the speculation.

Today, we heard of two new kits being leaked — Germany’s and Spain’s. And we must say, they are quite fancy:

Fresh. To. Death. But which do you prefer?

To stay up to date with all the World Cup kit releases (and of course, the leaks), check out FootyHeadlines.com. They always seem to be on top of it.
