Messi, Neymar, Falcao and Aguero sing like dorks in video

What does it take to get Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao, Eric Abidal, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique to sing like huge dorks in a music video? The last name on that list probably gives it away.

Shakira recorded a World Cup version of her song “La La La” for Brazil this summer, and recruited some of the world’s biggest soccer stars to appear in the video for it.

See? Even some of the world’s biggest stars like to lip-sync just like us. They even look just as dorky doing it, too.

But the real star of the video, however, is Shakira and Gerard’s son, Milan, as he adorably plays soccer with an elephant. Not bad for a 16-month-old!

How do you get over losing the La Liga title on the final day, in your own stadium no less?
  • Step 1: Fly to Vegas
  • Step 2: Visit your lover, who happens to be Shakira, at the Billboard Music Awards
  • Step 3: Receive a giant smooch from Shakira and all the sadness mysteriously disappears
Man, it must be nice to be Gerard Pique.

Four years after Waka Waka, Shakira releases Brazil World Cup song

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you had to see this one coming.

Between the popularity of her 2010 World Cup anthem, "Waka Waka," her love of the sport and her devotion to footballer Gerard Pique, Shakira was bound to become musically involved in the upcoming tournament in Brazil. Even if FIFA already selected Pitbull for this year’s “official” World Cup song.

Behold: “La La La,” the Colombian singer’s unofficial song for the World Cup.

To come up with this upbeat jam, Shakira re-worked her new song “Dare,” adding in soccer-specific lyrics like, “Hear the whistle, kick the ball.”

Alright, so it’s not particularly clever. But it’s rather catchy, so it’s almost a certainty that we’ll all be sick of it by the end of the World Cup.

Gerard Pique to Shakira: No more music videos with men

image

Ever wonder why Shakira and Rihanna teamed up to make that sultry “Can’t Remember to Forget You” video? Guess what: it was all Gerard Pique’s fault.

According to an interview with Billboard Magazine, the Voice coach isn’t allowed to perform in music videos with other men anymore, per request by her baby daddy Pique.

"He’s very territorial," Shakira told Billboard. "Since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women."

Shakira went on to say, “It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to. It’s out of the question, which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.”

And as you can see below, Rihanna does indeed, uh, graze her thigh.

It’s pretty clear Shakira has her fair share of admirers, all of which will be disappointed to hear the news that’s she’s being so closely protected by her man:

Be careful, kid. Pique probably won’t like that.

Shakira sighting at Confed Cup thanks to Pique red card

image

Stating the obvious, absolutely nothing went right for Spain in their 3-0 loss to hosts Brazil in the Confederation Cup final. Spain not only gave up three unanswered, but also missed a penalty kick and received a red card.

The silver lining? Shakira got some face time as her significant other Gerard Pique was walking off the pitch for his rough foul on Neymar. Clearly, the pop star, who shares a child with the Barcelona star, wasn’t very happy.

Here’s what former England international Gary Lineker had to say about it:

Barcelona star Gerard Pique is expecting his first child with world-famous singer Shakira. On Wednesday, they shared this gorgeous photo to help promote their virtual baby shower in collaboration with UNICEF. In lieu of receiving gifts in the traditional fashion, the couple is asking for donations to be made so that children around the world living in extreme poverty can receive life-saving supplies. An incredibly touching gesture!
