QPR keeper caught in Chelsea jersey

image

Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar attended fellow countryman David Luiz’s birthday party and was sporting a Chelsea shirt. The only problem is, Julio Cesar is currently the keeper for Queens Park Rangers.

This photo has been circulating the internet and has even forced QPR to investigate the matter. Could you imagine Wayne Rooney sporting a Liverpool jersey or Steven Gerrard in an Arsenal jersey? It’s very understandable that both the club and it’s supporters aren’t pleased.

What’s going to happen to Cesar now - benching? Fine? Suspension?

Relegation drama

QPR’s relegation battle against Wigan was ugly at first — including a red card for Bobby Zamora’s kick to the head of Jordi Gomez — but then it was beautiful!

Loic Remy’s superb strike in the 85th had sent QPR on its way to a priceless victory…

…but Wigan’s Shaun Maloney denied them the win with this fantastic free kick in the last minute of stoppage time! Both goals are deserved Goal of the Month nominees!!

The Barclays Premier League relegation battle continues to heat up, with Aston Villa grabbing a huge 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp was at a loss to explain how his side had lost the game after missing several chances to go further in front against Villa.

The defeat leaves QPR rooted to the bottom of the table, seven points adrift of safety and Redknapp admits the result could have a big impact on their survival hopes.

Djibril Cisse launches men’s fragrance line

image

Jordan. Beckham. P Diddy. Trump. Banderas. And Cisse?

Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse recently launched his own fragrance named “Mr Lenior Djibril Cisse” described as “woody, spicy and amber, from a blend of notes of bergamot, lavender, black pepper, cashmere wood, cardamom, labdanum, patchoili, vanilla and musk.”

Interesting. With a whopping £58 (over $90) price tag, we wonder if Cisse’s line can cure QPR’s stench at Loftus Road. Can’t hurt really, as QPR’s currently in the midst of a Premier League relegation dog fight.

Pick your poison…

Boxing Day was packed full of action on Wednesday — both good and bad. Here’s a dose of two of the worst plays from the Premier League matches.

First up, Adam Johnson scored on his ex-club Manchester City, but it wasn’t exactly the prettiest of goals. City keeper Joe Hart, who has had a rough season in net so far, didn’t cover his post and let the ball sneak underneath his dive.

Second is Robert Green. The gaffe-prone goalkeeper scores this own goal for West Brom, as lowly QPR fell to the Baggies on Wednesday. But was he fouled?
