Say hello to Neymar the barber

Not only can the young Brazilian score incredible goals, looks like he can give a pretty good haircut too.

In preparation for their Confederations Cup clash with Mexico, midfielder Lucas Moura decided he needed to look as fresh as possible. Neymar decided to lend a helping hand and give his teammate a brand new buzzcut outside of their team hotel.

If it doesn’t work out for Neymar at Barcelona, he might just have a second career to fall back on.

To celebrate his move from Santos to Barcelona, Neymar decided to get a tattoo to let everyone know just how he feels. Before Brazil’s international friendly vs. England, the 21-year old had the word “blessed” tattooed below his neck.

Let’s hope the stay at the Nou Camp goes well to avoid any nasty ink removal procedures.

Neymar unveiled at the Nou Camp, shows off juggling skills

Neymar has finally made the official move to Barcelona, signing a five-year contract with the La Liga powerhouse. On Monday, he was introduced at a press conference and also was brought out onto the pitch for the first time.

Tens of thousands of fans waited for over an hour just to get a glimpse of their new Brazilian striker, and how did the young striker respond? By juggling a ball, of course.

It’s as if the team wants fans to think that by proving that he can keep the ball up in the air for 45 seconds straight, they can rest assured that the rumored 30 million euro transfer fee was money well spent.

Juggling skills aside, Neymar couldn’t hold back his excitement:

“I am very happy, very moved to be a Barcelona player and fulfill my dream. I want to help the team. I have come to add my part so that Lionel Messi continues to be the best player in the world.”

Time will tell how the two stars will co-exist, but one thing is for sure, excitement and optimism are running high in Barcelona.

His move to Barcelona has been sealed, so to commemorate what is likely his last training session with his boyhood club, Neymar attended the emotional session with a camera on his head.

Yes, a camera on his head.

The Brazilian trickster released a teaser of the footage on his official YouTube account for his fans to peruse.

Who’s excited for the full feature then?

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL — Translating his flair for the dramatics on the field to the release of Nike’s new soccer boot, Brazilian phenom Neymar played both rock star and politician, carefully explaining for the first time in public his reasons for selecting new club Barcelona.

“It’s been a dream come true. I’m really happy,” Neymar told a group of international journalists gathered in Rio’s city center. “At the same time, I’m a bit sad because I’m leaving my cherished team in a city where I grew up and where I played for nine years in Santos.”

But in an one-on-one interview later with FOX Soccer’s Keith Costigan, Neymar talked more candidly about his move to Spain, saying it came down to La Liga rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid. In the end, Neymar’s father, who helped broker the deal, said Barcelona’s offer was stronger.

“My dad was in negotiations. He knows the details,” Neymar told Costigan. “During the last meeting Santos showed us the proposals, and Barcelona’s was the best. And that’s when I made my decision.”

Entering a dark, mock pitch Tuesday to heavy music and flashing pictures of some of the world’s greatest players, Neymar coolly sported the country’s yellow and blue kit before lacing up the new Nike Hypervenom boot.

But even at the official release for shoe, the first questions revolved around the 21-year-old’s decision this week.

“The feeling is like having butterflies in my stomach,” Neymar said. “I still feel it… to be playing with great players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Daniel Alves, Adiano and others who are in the team.”

Neymar sheds tears at final game with Santos

Less than 24 hours after Neymar revealed he’ll be leaving Santos for Barcelona this summer, he suited up against Flamengo for his final match with the club.

It was obviously a tough decision for the Brazilian starlet to leave his home country and the club that he’s been playing with ever since he was inducted into their youth academy. His emotions got the best of him prior to the match, and he couldn’t hold back the tears.

The 21-year-old will be joining the Catalans after this summer’s Confederations Cup, and is set to sign the five-year contract on Monday.
