Balotelli, Reus, Fabregas and Henry star in new Puma commercial

To promote their highly anticipated evoPOWER boots, Puma produced this commercial which basically just involves Cesc Fabregas and Marco Reus destroying a bunch of stuff.

Cesc and Reus are both surrounded by teams of scientists as they test out their new cleats, which apparently provide them with enough power to shoot balls to the moon or through brick walls and stadium scoreboards (not to mention those silly targets). Meanwhile, Thierry Henry observes all the footage from an “undisclosed location,” seemingly impressed.

He then concludes that the powerful boot is ready for the game, and that it should be put to “the final test.” At this time, Mario Balotelli emerges as the final tester, but sadly — or mercifully — the ad comes to an end.

It should only be a matter of time, though, until we get to see what happens next (Prediction: Super Mario destroys a bunch of stuff).

Man Utd to break bank for Vidal

The rumors keep rolling in for Manchester United supporters. A fortnight ago it was Wesley Sneijder, last week it was Atletico star Koke and Dortmund’s Marco Reus. Who will fill that midfield role now the transfer window has opened?

In Thursday’s English newspapers, Juventus’ Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal is the latest name to be linked with a move to Old Trafford. Vidal has been one of Juve’s outstanding players and one of the reasons they have won back-to-back Scudetto’s in recent years. It is certain United will have to break the bank for the midfielder, especially in the inflated January sales.

Falcao on Mourinho’s wish list

Chelsea’s ambitions are growing loftier by the day. Jose Mourinho is planning to watch Colombia’s international friendly against Belgium on Thursday with just one player on his mind - Radamel Falcao. The Blues are thought to be ready to make a bid for the Monaco striker which, if successful, could pave the way for a couple of exits from Stamford Bridge. We’ve also got a very interesting story on a target for Manchester United - just click here to see who it is.

C’mon Marco, oldest trick in the book!

Robert Lewandowski tripped Marco Reus on a warm-up lap at Dortmund training camp earlier this season in a classic display of trolling by the Pole.

With Dortmund’s sights set on the Champions League final against Bayern in a few weeks’ time, Lewandowski will look to trip up the Munich defense next. Dante, Boateng, Lahm: you’ve been warned.

Borussia Deutschland?

Seems like the rising rivalry between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund is now spreading into the German National team!

When Germany beat Kazakhstan 4-1 on Tuesday, all four German goals were scored by Dortmund players Marco Reus (2), Mario Goetze, and Ilkay Gundogan. Which may not sound all too odd, except that the German side has traditionally been anchored and led by a large contingent of Bayern Munich players.

Now, with Reus, Gotze, Gundogan, and Mats Hummels, Dortmund players look likely to form the spine of Germany’s future, as Bayern veterans Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philip Lahm are getting older, and Mario Gomez is falling out of favor. Just recently, German media have been speculating that Gundogan will soon replace Bastian Schweinsteiger in the center of the pitch full-time.

"FC Bayern Deutschland," as many have joked over the years, may soon turn into Borussia Deutschland!
