That hair.
That hair.
Apparently it was a good weekend for long-distance strikes. First, we showed you Deportivo Quito’s fantastic goal from near midfield, but Evian’s Saber Khelifa one-upped that effort, scoring from deep within his OWN half!
Now that’s what we call pinpoint accuracy.
No one wants to be interrupted while celebrating clinching the league title — especially after a 19 year drought — but that’s exactly what happened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Sunday.
The striker was told to take a drug test by PSG’s sporting director Leonardo, and Zlatan give him a mouthful for having the cheek to ask. Ouch!

Paris Saint-Germain won their first league title in 19 years on Sunday, and all of Paris will be partying tonight.
Even the Eiffel Tower decided to get in on the celebrations, as it lit up with the colors of PSG after the championship-clinching win over Lyon. Hopefully the monument will stay away from the champagne, though. It sways enough already — over-the-top partying could mean a little too much wobbling.

MC Hammer once sang the immortal line “U Can’t Touch This,” and the same applies to referees’ nipples.
PSG defender Thiago Silva touches the shirt of Alexandre Castro ever so slightly, and is shown a straight red card for the vicious attack during the 1-1 draw against Valenciennes. We know refs often get a raw deal, but maybe a bit of common sense wouldn’t be such a bad thing occasionally?
Former Marseille defender Eric Di Meco might think twice before making his next bet.
Back in 2010, when right back Cesar Azpilicueta signed with Marseille from Osasuna, the club’s president at the time, Jean-Claude Dassier, declared Azpilicueta “the future right full back of the Spanish national team.”
Di Meco wasn’t impressed, and was confident enough in his assessment of the defender that he declared, “if that happens, I’ll eat a rat.”
Since then, Azpilicueta has moved to Chelsea and made his debut with the Spanish national team. He started against Uruguay, and played all 90 minutes in Spain’s 3-1 win back in February.
So, Di Meco kept his word, and ate a rat on live radio while the video cameras rolled. At least he had a glass of wine nearby to wash it down.

French giants PSG are eyeing a double swoop for two of the Premier League’s finest French imports. After talks of Wayne Rooney hopping over the channel to the mega-rich club, could PSG be the next force to be reckoned with on the world stage? Find out who they’re after and more in today’s Paper Chase.

France Football is billing this weekend’s clash between PSG and Marseille as a match of biblical proportions. David Beckham could make his debut for the French Ligue 1 leader, but the media is more interested in a potential personal battle between the former England captain and Joey Barton. Beckham has been cast in the role of an angel while predictably Barton is playing a demon. Barton is already ramping up interest in the game by saying, in a cod French accent presumably, that his adversary is not the athlete of five years ago. Sacre bleu!

Need proof that David Beckham is heading for Paris Saint-Germain then check out these photos of the former Galaxy star after his medical in the French capital? Wait until Victoria hits those chic French boutiques.

It’s the start of a brand new Beckham soap opera!
We’re always used to seeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic headlining trick moves past opposing defenders. But what happens when the tables are reversed?
Check out this lovely clip as Cameroon defender Aurelien Chedjou nutmegs Swedish star during Lille’s Ligue 1 match against Paris St. Germain.
Ouch!
Sadly for Chedjou, PSG claimed three points after his second half own goal handed the French giants an important league victory.
