Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, and appreciating how well we have it, not to mention the fattest day of the year. In honor of this this day, we’ll run down a list of things that we are thankful for this year, as told through GIFs.
We’re thankful for:
Ronaldo being in top form…
…and getting some help from his friends
Jurgen Klopp, the most fun manager in soccer…
…except when he’s angry
The Snow Bowl…
…FA Cup upsets…
…and Champions League classics
Mario Balotelli finally being happy…
…we mean really happy
Sticking it to the refs
The ‘Harlem Shake’ (it was fun while it lasted, don’t lie)
Celebrating the end of legendary eras…
…and not-so-legendary ones
YOU! Our great fans
(Sorry, wrong one)
The occasional, technical difficulties…
…and on field difficulties…
…and whatever this was:
That the World Cup is in Brazil next year…
…and that Neymar will be in it
And Zlatan, one more time, because he won’t :(
It was a rough day at the office for Schalke goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand when his side took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Looking to bounce back from a 3-0 home loss to the same Chelsea side two weeks earlier, Schalke got off to a promising start to the match, but it all went awry on one outrageous blunder:
Hildebrand took way too much time to boot the ball up-field, and Samuel Eto’o took full advantage of his delayed reaction. Hildebrand will re-live those brief moments over and over and over again. This one is definitely in the running for Howler of the Year.
Schalke would never recover, losing the reverse fixture, 3-0 once more.
