Heartbreaking! Cute little girl cries over hearing of Neymar’s injury

Be honest, when you heard that Brazil’s talisman and face of the 2014 World Cup 2014, was injured and would no longer be able to play in the tournament, did you shed a tear?

If so, you’re not alone.

We doubt you’re as cute and adorable as little Brazil fan Ana Bella, however. After Ana’s mother informed her of Neymar’s devastating injury and abrupt end to his tournament, little Ana’s eyes begin to tear up. Asking “Cadê ele?” (“where is he?”), she can no longer hold back the tears. Before you know it, she’s in floods.

We feel your pain, Ana. We all do.

According to Football Italia, a baby believed to be three or four days old was found abandoned in a bag under a train seat. When Floro Flores heard of the story, he was so moved he inquired about the young child. After attempts to find the birth parents failed, the on-loan Sassuolo forward began the process to officially adopt the boy.

“After seeing the profile of little Francesco, we followed what our hearts told us,” Floro Flores said on Twitter. “Before being a player, I am a father. I’m certainly not a hero! We are going through the regular procedures.”

What a guy.

20-month-old baby becomes world’s youngest pro footballer

imageImage: Photonews via Het Laatste Nieuws

Bryce Brites is only 20 months old and can’t even properly utter the words “ball” or “goal” but he just became the youngest professional football player on the planet.

This past week, Bryce signed with Belgian club FC Racing Boxberg, based near his home city of Genk, after impressing coaches with his “highly unusual” talent and “incredible” ball control. The precocious toddler was invited to train with the club’s Under-5 team and was signed and issued his very own Belgian FA membership card the very same day.

Amazingly, Bryce misses out on the all-time record for youngest-ever professional by two months. That record apparently belongs to Dutch footballer Baerke van der Meij, who signed a 10-year deal with VVV-Venlo when he was 18 months old.

Racing Boxberg club secretary Dany Vodnik raved about the young prodigy, who is still in diapers, to Dutch newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws:

“Bryce kicks a ball in a way you do not even see when playing drills with four or five-year-olds. His ball control is incredible for his age. The way he dribbles with the ball at his feet between the cones, he can give a pass to the left or right.

“You ask him to kick a ball three or five meters and he does so, but he may not play with the five and six-year-old boys yet. We must remain cautious.“

Given Belgium’s embarrassment of riches in footballing talent recently, Bryce might just live up to the hype in about 15 years or so. But for the meantime, he will likely enjoy instant celebrity status on his neighborhood playgrounds.

Aston Villa launches new “Royal Baby” merchandise line

image

That didn’t take long, did it?

It’s considered common knowledge by now that Prince William - the proud new father of a royal baby boy - is a fan of Birmingham-based soccer club Aston Villa. So maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise that the club is looking to cash in on the royal link by releasing a new line of “Royal Baby” merchandise in its stores.

That’s right, you can now purchase anything from baby socks and bibs to pacifiers, sippy cups and “baby on board” stickers adorned with the club’s logo. The highlight in the collection though is the customized baby jersey with “HRH” emblazoned on the back, standing for “His Royal Highness.”

The team was also quick to congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge via Twitter, claiming the royal baby’s fanhood well before it can even utter his first words:

Whether or not the Royal Baby will grow up to root for his father’s club remains to be seen. In the meantime, we’re certain Villa is going to profit some either way. Let’s be real: what Villain fan wouldn’t want their baby to sport an “HRH” jersey?

Iker Casillas, Sara Carbonero to become parents for first time

image

Congratulations are in store for one of soccer’s true power couples.

According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero revealed that they are set to become parents for the first time.

The pair were reportedly tight-lipped about their plans, but recently revealed the news to their closest family and friends earlier this week. Carbonero, a Spanish journalist, is believed to be 13 weeks pregnant.

The news comes after a tumultuous season for Casillas on the pitch, following his strained relationship with former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho after suffering a hand injury in January and subsequently falling down the pecking order at Madrid.

Despite his uncertain role at Real Madrid, and Spain’s crushing 3-0 Confederations Cup final loss to Brazil last month, the 32-year-old keeper expressed his excitement before departing to a secret vacation destination with Carbonero.

“We’re very happy,” the couple told El Mundo. “I’m going to have a baby from La Mancha,” the Spanish captain added referring to Carbonero’s city of origin.

The couple confirmed their relationship back in 2010, right before Spain’s World Cup run in South Africa. Of course, who can ever forget their iconic smooch after Spain’s World Cup final victory over the Netherlands in thrilling extra time:

David Luiz and Thiago Silva baby look-alikes are blowing up on twitter

image

image

Can you see the startling resemblance?

This picture of two unknown little guys has been making the rounds on social media today, and it’s not hard to see why: the two boys look exactly like min-versions of the formidable duo in Brazil’s central defense: David Luiz and Thiago Silva!

Sure, Luiz is an easy call; you could practically take any little kid with Sideshow Bob hair and make the connection to the Chelsea man. But what about Silva? The facial expression of “baby Thiago” is absolutely on point!

Even Ronaldo circulated the picture on Twitter today:
