Last season, the world showered Manchester United striker Robin van Persie with congratulatory messages on Twitter after winning his first ever Premier League title. Alas, the majority of those Tweets were directed to @rvp, a handle belonging to 52-year old Indian IT consultant Ravi Visvesvaraya Sharada Prasad. Or, in other words, definitely not Robin van Persie.
Well, @rvp seems to have made some new friends since the last time we heard from him. Now joining the mistaken identity club is Scottish teenager Sarah Moyes, whose Twitter handle is, unfortunately for her, @moyesy.
Sarah has recently become the target of angry, misinformed Manchester United fans looking to take their aggression out on manager David Moyes. But luckily for her, she has an excellent support system:
@moyesy welcome to the mistaken identity club. You have had it really bad since man united lost to man city. My sympathies.— RaviVisvesvaraPrasad (@rvp)March 27, 2014

@avb yeah I heard, I’m very much looking forward to it blowing over! x— Sarah Moyes (@moyesy)March 27, 2014
