While Zlatan Ibrahimovic is staying busy filming Volvo commercials, his Monaco rival Radamel Falcao remains in the hospital recovering from serious knee surgery. In their first match without him, the enitre Monaco team walked out donning T-shirts bearing Falcao’s face and the message “Fuerza Tigre.”

El Tigre, who according to his surgeon still has a chance to recover in time for the World Cup, quickly took to Instragram to show that he received and appreciated the message from his teammates, writing (translated) “From Porto watching the team, thank you for the strength you give me, I am here to give you mine!”

Fan violence reared its ugly head in Latin America once again as Palmeiras supporters attacked club players at an airport following the team’s 1-0 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores loss to Tigre.

Prass had to be treated for cuts to his head and ear, but no one was seriously hurt in the altercation before the team’s return to Brazil. Palmeiras said three fans were detained in Argentina but were later released.

”They threw a cup at Valdivia and it hit me,” Prass said through his Twitter account. ”I got three stitches in the head and a cut in my ear.”
