Check out this ridiculous double save from Peruvian Under-20 goalkeeper Angelo Campos in a match against Uruguay. First he makes himself look silly by strolling way out of his penalty area, but then he more than makes up for it with some fine heroics.
More importantly though, what’s the move when you get denied like this? Obviously just play hurt right? Well played on both sides.
An unlikely hero was the story of Galatasaray’s 1-0 win at Elazigspor on Saturday.
Felipe Melo jumped to the rescue with a dramatic 90th minute penalty save after goalkeeper Fernando Muslera was sent off at the death. With no substitutes left, the Brazilian defender slipped on the gloves and incredulously made a fine save! And then proceeded to crawl around the box in celebration.
Muslera owes him big time!
