Nasri looks on in horror as Kompany drops Capital One Cup

Vincent Kompany captained Manchester City to their first League Cup title since 1976 on Sunday, and nearly broke the trophy.

Kompany almost dropped the Capital One Cup mid-lift when its detachable base slipped out of the Belgian’s hands. The base didn’t make it, but Kompany went on to hoist the remains as if nothing ever happened.

Samir Nasri was not as calm.

Gunners set to offer boss new deal?

According to the English newspaper Daily Star, Arsenal are set to offer manager Arsene Wenger a new contract. The Gunners boss is in his 18th year at the club and the north London club want to extend his tenure.

Elsewhere, Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Dutch striker Luuk De Jong has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Newcastle and Samir Nasri’s dad has blasted Newcastle’s Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa for a ‘spiteful’ tackle that almost ended his son’s World Cup dream.

Thanks to a GoPro video camera, Manchester City have given fans a look at what training is like through the eyes of Carlos Tevez, Joe Hart, and Samir Nasri. It’s fascinating to see the precision passing from such a close angle.

Hopefully next time they keep the cameras on after training so we can see what it’s like riding home in Ferraris and hitting the clubs in Manchester.
