At first, it seemed that Roma’s perfect start to the season was an anomaly. Surely it would not last. Well here we are, seven games in and they have seven wins, 21 points and sit atop Serie A.

What has been the key to their success? It’s 37-year-old Francesco Totti.

The striker has scored three goals and notched six assists this season, proving that even in his later footballing years, he’s a huge asset to the club. His offensive firepower was especially key on Saturday in Roma’s 3-0 win over Inter, showing the world that they are the real deal and Totti definitely still has it.

Multiple weapons confiscated at Coppa Italia final

The Coppa Italia final featured Serie A clubs Roma and Lazio, the first such time the final has been a Rome Derby. The final is always played at Stadio Olimpico, which happens to be the home stadium for both clubs, leaving officials to anticipate an incredibly heated match.

Prior to the match, police confiscated the above weaponry, which includes homemade knives, axes, and gardening paraphernalia.

The question we’re all wondering: were the fans that were brandishing these still allowed to enter the match after they had their weapons taken away?

Lazio prevailed over Roma with a 1-0 victory and have secured a place in the 2013-14 Europa League.
