Cristiano Ronaldo does Ice Bucket Challenge in his underwear

Finally! It’s the Ice Bucket Challenge video to end all Ice Bucket Challenge videos.

Darren Fletcher challenged Ronaldo to do the Ice Bucket Challenge, and CR7 happily obliged. In true Ronaldo fashion, he did it in the skimpiest pair of undies on the market (his own brand, naturally), and nothing else.

Ronaldo has long been a fan of his brand of skivvies. (Image: Getty)

It’s far from a surprise that the Adonis-like Ronaldo opted to do the challenge almost totally naked, but it IS surprising whom he nominated to follow suit.

Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Lil Wayne? Interesting lineup. We’ll see if they own up!

Real Madrid full-kit pitch invader tries to blend in on corner kick

image

This is Cristiano Ronaldo. He played and scored against Fiorentina in Real Madrid’s 2-1 friendly loss on Saturday. He was subbed off at halftime, but somehow ‘Cristiano Ronaldo’ magically appeared back on the pitch in the 75th minute.

Okay, clearly that is not the Cristiano Ronaldo. It is a fan who thought himself clever by wearing a full kit, invading the pitch and trying to blend in on a Fiorentina corner kick. It actually worked pretty well as no one seemed to know what was going on or what to do.

He was pretty much was given free rein to walk wherever he pleased.

Security? Anybody? No? Okay then. Well played, sir.

Darren Fletcher does Ice Bucket Challenge, as awareness goes global

image

We’ve already introduced you to the Ice Bucket Challenge, (which you’re probably aware has been making the rounds on the Internet), but in case you’ve forgotten, here’s a quick refresher:

The movement to combat the rare neurodegenerative disease ALS (or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) has gone viral since originating in Boston last month. Athletes and celebrities have joined the general public in pouring buckets of ice water over their heads and then “daring” more people to do the same.

The challenge has made its way over to Europe now, too, as a trio of AS Roma players took the plunge.

Additionally, Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher was recently tapped to do it. In turn, and to the delight of everyone here at FOX Soccer, he nominated none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Don’t let all the ladies down, CR7. We know you don’t need an excuse to remove your shirt anyway, so just do it.

Cristiano Ronaldo is so over doing regular push-ups

image

Ronaldo with Irina. Are we sure they’re not just wax figures? (Image: Getty)

When you’re Cristiano Ronaldo, nothing about your life is normal. He dates a super model, plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, makes way too much money and has magical hair gel that keeps his locks perfect at all times.

So why would his push-ups be normal?

Clearly, he is bored with the regular form of this exercise and decided to add a little extra challenge to it, because he’s Cristiano Ronaldo. He even gets back up like he’s super-human.

Come on, dude, stop making your teammates look bad.

Cristiano Ronaldo promotes goofy Japanese “facial fitness” product

image

You may remember the story we posted a couple weeks ago about Cristiano Ronaldo joining a Japanese game show and watching in horror as the host tried out a “facial fitness” product that CR7 has been “promoting,” probably by force for an insane amount of money:

Well, wouldn’t you know it, this preposterous new product now has a TV commercial. And yes, it is just as absurd as you would have imagined.

Enjoy:

What is that, the “Shake Weight” for cheekbones? Is this real life?

No wonder that Ronaldo at no point actually uses the product. He already has perfect bone structure.

There’s more, too.

MTG _CR, the company behind this… cheek-strengthening device(?)… also had Ronaldo promote another of their products: An elegant handheld personal massager featuring a pair of what can only be described as disco balls.

This one, Ronaldo actually seems to enjoy using:

Men’s Health declares Cristiano Ronaldo “Fittest Man Alive”

image

That’s a lot of muscle and not a lot of fat. (Image: @MadridSportsES)

Cristiano Ronaldo is shirtless again — we know, we know, you’re shocked — and this time it’s on the cover of Men’s Health magazine’s September issue. They’ve declared him the Fittest Man Alive, and really, when you break down the numbers (or just use your eyeballs) it’s hard to argue otherwise.

Just a few nuggets from his spread in the fitness magazine:

-Ronaldo runs more than six miles per game
-His body fat is in the low single digits (well, duh)
-In a typical game, he sprints 33 times at a top speed of about 21 mph
-He can kick that ball at 80 mph (surprised he hasn’t broken a net yet)

Okay, we get it Cristiano. YOU’RE IN SHAPE. Can you stop showing off now? The rest of us are feeling self-conscious.

Here’s a look behind the scenes of his cover shoot, in case you want to feel even worse about your own physique:

Super friends! CR7 poses with Justin Bieber, Floyd Mayweather

imageGetty/Jason Tew (FOX Sports) Composite

Last week, Cristiano Ronaldo dismissed a TMZ report that he would join forces with Lil Wayne’s new sports management company.

Nothing’s been said about him joining The Money Team, though!

Three days ago, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a picture with boxing champ Floyd “Money” Mayweather on Twitter, then posed for a selfie with Justin Bieber. Check it out:

So, who’s in your clique?

Cristiano Ronaldo to team up with Lil Wayne?

image

Cristiano Ronaldo goes by many names: CR7, Ronnie, the “Sultan of the Stepover,” or simply Cristiano. As the reigning Ballon d’Or winner, “best player in the world” works too.

Can we soon add “Young Money Cash Money Billionaire” to the list?

According to TMZ, rapping mogul Lil Wayne is starting his own sports management venture, and none other than Ronaldo is set to become Weezy’s first client. However, since the rumor broke and circulated around the web, Ronaldo has come out to deny that any changes to his management team will be made.

TMZ reported that Lil Wayne’s new company would “handle Ronaldo’s sports management affairs in the United States, everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling.”

(“Even” modeling? That seems more like a given.)

The partnership would make a lot of sense. The two global superstars are considered good friends, and Lil Wayne’s new company will reportedly work with PolarisSports — affiliated with GestiFute and CAA — through which Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes currently operates.

For his part, Ronaldo also recently Tweeted out a picture of himself with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and a big crowd of politicians all throwing up Wayne’s famous record label’s Young Money/Cash Money sign. Understandably, this had given the TMZ rumor some legs:

Cristiano Ronaldo joins Japanese TV show, hilarity ensues

Cristiano Ronaldo is about as straight-laced as professional athletes get. His work ethic is the stuff of legend, and rarely is he seen goofing off when there are trophies to be won.

So, popping the Portuguese star on a zany Japanese TV show was a recipe for awesomeness. Right from the start the Real Madrid talisman appears uncomfortable, with fog machines, crazy lights and a mob of fans that seem just a bit too close.

Of course, Ronaldo is then given a bouquet of flowers with which he has no idea what to do with, and a life-size photo of him shirtless and flexing is subsequently walked out onto the stage.

The highlight of the entire spectacle comes at the 2:25 mark in the video, where one of the hosts tries out the “facial fitness” product Ronaldo has brought around. It’s tremendous to watch by itself, but even better in GIF form:

Cristiano Ronaldo fights dandruff in bizarre shampoo commercial

image

Ever wonder how Cristiano Ronaldo always keeps his hair so perfect?

Well, aside from getting his hair trimmed and perfectly styled seemingly every other day, it seems CR7 is also a tenacious protector of his own follicles. In this advertisement for CLEAR shampoo, Ronaldo fights off dandruff attacks with the flair and elusiveness of Neo in The Matrix:

How great was that? Ronaldo sure showed those dandruff balls who’s boss.

And wait, there’s more!

CLEAR also released a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the commercial, which is almost as exciting. At the end of the video, Ronaldo says: “I love the shampoo, it is nice. And if you see the results, you can look for my hair and you will see why I have a beautiful hair.”

So there. Now you know.
