Cristiano Ronaldo got the better of Lionel Messi on Tuesday, scoring twice to lead Real Madrid to a 3-1 win at Barcelona and a spot in the Copa del Rey final.

After the first leg ended 1-1, Madrid neutralized Barcelona’s passing game and counterattacked to perfection at the Camp Nou to hand its archrival its first home loss in any competition since last April

It was also a second straight cup setback for the Catalan club, which is running away with the Spanish league but lost 2-0 at AC Milan in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 matchup.

Making an early claim for 2013’s goalkeeper of the year, Atletico Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois ensured his side’s 2-0 Copa del Rey victory over Real Betis.

The 20-year-old Belgian, on loan from Chelsea, built on his impressive first half display five minutes after the break after stopping Betis’ shots inside his own penalty box, making three consecutive spectacular saves.

Courtois’ form will be a shot to the arm with the Stamford Bridge contingency, who are in a desperate search to find a suitable long-term replacement for club stalwart Petr Cech.

Well today, it was Valencia’s Adil Rami who did the foo-foo-foo-foo-fooooolin in his side’s Copa del Rey match versus Segunda Division side Llagostera.

Poor keeper clearly just wants to hop on a Southwest plane after Rami scores on him from HIS OWN HALF!
