Eiffel Tower lit up in PSG colors

Paris Saint-Germain won their first league title in 19 years on Sunday, and all of Paris will be partying tonight.

Even the Eiffel Tower decided to get in on the celebrations, as it lit up with the colors of PSG after the championship-clinching win over Lyon. Hopefully the monument will stay away from the champagne, though. It sways enough already — over-the-top partying could mean a little too much wobbling.

Landon is back!

After a long sabbatical from soccer, Landon Donovan has finally rejoined the LA Galaxy on their trip to the White House.

The team had a morning training session, and then went off to the White House where President Obama will honor the two-time defending MLS Cup champions, along with Stanley Cup champions LA Kings, in a special ceremony.

Southampton dents Manchester City’s title hopes

The Barclays Premier League trophy slipped further from Manchester City’s grasp after the champion lost 3-1 at Southampton on Saturday and gave Manchester United the opportunity to surge 12 points clear.

A spirited Saints side were 2-1 up by the break and Gareth Barry compiled a nightmare afternoon for the defending champions when he put through his own net after the restart, failing miserably in trying to shepherd the ball back to goalkeeper Joe Hart after Rickie Lambert had tried to pick out Jason Puncheon in the box.
