Widely regarded as one of the most underrated Dutch footballers of all-time, Clarence Seedorf’s days with Real Madrid will always be remembered in a positive light, helping Los Blancos claim La Liga and Champions League crowns during his first three seasons with the club.

Yet for all of his time with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, the former Ajax and Netherlands standout can always fallback to his jaw-dropping golazo against Real rival Atletico Madrid during the 1997-98 campaign:

There are many ways to receive a red card but this must be a first. Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf argued with the referee about where he should leave the pitch when he was being substituted during Botafogo’s 2-1 win against Madureira on Sunday. The ref wanted him to take the short route, Seedorf preferred a longer version. That earned him his first yellow card. The Dutchman failed to heed the warning and took the long way regardless - you can guess the rest.
