Stu Holden is finally back on track

It’s been a long and tiring road of recovery for Stuart Holden.

Ever since Jonny Evans’ studs destroyed his knee in March 2011, Holden has been battling to get to full strength and fitness. He faced several setbacks with his knee in his rehabilitation process, but has finally made it back onto the pitch. FOX Soccer spoke with Holden, his brother Euan and girlfriend Karalyn about his recovery process, and now his return to playing.

He hopes to help Bolton get back to Premier League, and contribute to the U.S. men’s national team in the near future — he has his sights set on the World Cup in Brazil.

Fabrice Muamba wowed audience members and judges during his salsa bit during the Strictly Christmas special and hinted that he might continue his dancing exploits to a full series.

The ex-Bolton player said: “It all depends on what else is going on. I am very busy and we will just have to see. Two weeks ago, I couldn’t perform ballroom dancing but now I can. I’ve really enjoyed doing the Strictly Christmas special. It was a lot of fun.

“I want to use what happened to me and turn it into something positive. You have to get up and go in life. Stopping football is not the end of the world.”

Based on the results, we must respect Muamba’s moves on the dance floor. A true inspiration to say the least.
