Chelsea, United in CR7 bidding war

It wasn’t too long ago that Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United for a mind-blowing £80 million. If the rumors are true, he could be on the move again. It will take similar money for Real Madrid to part with their main man, who has bagged an incredible 55 goals already this season!

Today’s rumor is that Ronaldo is set to leave La Liga and travel back to the Premier League. Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to start a bidding war for the Portuguese international.

Tottenham vs. Sunderland

With the title won and relegation decided, the final day of the Premier League has one battle to focus on: the fight for Champions League spots.

Unless Tottenham win by double digits, Chelsea are in, even if they lose. The real race is between Arsenal and Spurs.

Tottenham have to win, and then need a helping hand from Newcastle. It is possible for the Gunners to secure their spot with a draw as long as Tottenham also lose or draw, but a victory over the Toon would put them into the top four no matter what Spurs do.

Frank Lampard breaks Chelsea scoring record

Frank Lampard broke Chelsea’s all-time scoring record today, scoring both goals in the Blues 2-1 win over Aston Villa, which all but clinched Chelsea a spot in next year’s Champions League.

Lampard’s first goal tied the game and matched him with Bobby Tambling’s record of 202 goals. Super Frank then did him one better with just two minutes to play, scoring the game-winner and breaking the record at the same time. Here’s what Lampard had to say after the game:
