Patrice Evra mocks Luis Suarez, bites fake arm thrown on pitch

image
If you thought that Manchester United winning their 20th Premier League title would knock Luis Suarez out of the news, you were wrong. Once the Red Devils finished their destruction of Aston Villa to clinch the BPL title, the players broke into celebration. After a fan threw a fake arm onto the pitch, Patrice Evra played along and took a bite out of it.

Clearly, a metaphorical slap in the face to Luis Suarez, who set off the soccer world with his bite in Sunday’s game. For those that don’t recall, Luis Suarez was banned 8 matches in 2011 after he was found guilty of racially abusing Evra.

Fresh off of his fifth Premier League title with Manchester United, it would appear that Patrice Evra got the last laugh.

Suarez takes a bite out of Ivanovic

Looks like someone didn’t eat their Wheaties today.

Luis Suarez is doing Luis Suarez things once again. It’s clear as day that he sunk his teeth into Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic’s arm during today’s match. Adding insult to injury, Suarez put in the late equalizer during stoppage time to seal a 2-2 draw.

This isn’t the first time Suarez has taken a bite out of another player. In 2010 with Ajax, Suarez was banned for seven games for biting PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bokkal’s shoulder.

What’s next for Suarez - a ban for the rest of the season? Ordered to wear a muzzle?

UPDATE: Suarez’s best Mike Tyson impression did not go unnoticed. Take a look at who just followed Suarez on Twitter.

A player for Brazilian side Bangu has been handed a six-match ban for illegally entering the pitch to make a goal-line clearance. Celsinho was on the sideline receiving treatment, but when his goalkeeper turned the ball over to the opposing team, he sprang into action.

Without permission, Celsinho ran back onto the field and stopped what was a certain goal, but in the process, netted himself a red card, and now the six-match ban.

While Celsinho’s instinctive play salvaged a point for his team — the opposing team was awarded an indirect free kick that they were unable to convert, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw — now he’ll be sitting out a long time before making his next clearance. Would he make that sacrifice again?
