Number 2 on our 2012 MLS Best Goals countdown belongs to the Seattle Sounders’ Freddy Montero and his thunderous strike from 35 yards out against the Galaxy.

No doubt the best long-range strike of the season, but if not Montero, then who netted the Goal of the Year?? Find out tomorrow!

Our 2012 MLS Best Goals countdown continues here with Number 3, and did you really expect David Beckham to come up empty on this list? For sure not.

Who doesn’t remember this ambitious curler from about 30 yards out against Portland in July? Just Beckham being Beckham…

Number 4 on our countdown of 2012’s MLS Best Goals goes to the Montreal Impact’s Sanna Nayasi for his effort against the Revolution. Watch as Nyasi goes almost the length of the field to bury the game-winning goal!

Also, don’t forget to check back each day as we work our way down to Thursday’s Goal of the Year.

Yesterday, we began counting down our favorite goals of the MLS 2012 regular season.

No. 6 on our list is…a TIE!

Both New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry (above) and the Chicago Fire’s Marco Pappa (the post below) scored directly on corner kicks (or “Olimpicos” if you will) this season, and both deserve a spot on our countdown.

Now the question is, which Olimpico do you think was better?
