Gustavo Ramirez scores fastest goal in history of Mexican football

July 26th, 2014

Gustavo Ramirez of Mineros de Zacatecas scored on the opening kickoff in a second-division match against Necaxa. Initially clocked at seven seconds, the goal was later said to have come at the four-second mark. Even that seems a little long!

The Ascenso MX later confirmed what we were all thinking: it was the fastest goal in Mexican football history!
