Life just gets tougher and tougher for referees judging by this video from Indonesia. Muhaimin was punched in the face after he awarded a penalty to Pelita Bandung Raya during a Super League match on Sunday. He needed four stitches. The offender, Pieter Rumaropen of Papua province club Persiwa Wamena, has been banned for life by the country’s football authority. Quite right too.

In 2008, Indonesia’s Football Association, PSSI, imposed life bans on four players for beating up a referee and his assistants.
