Jose Mourinho gone at Real Madrid?

April 17th, 2013

Ever since Jose Mourinho left then-European Champions Inter Milan for richer pastures in Real Madrid, speculation has been rife as to when he’ll leave. Today’s breaking news could finally signal the end of Jose and Real’s on-and-off love story once and for all.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Mourinho has decided that this season will be his last in the Madrid hotseat.

President of Spanish youth football side CD Canillas, Manuel Álvarez broke the news. The Special One’s son, Jose Junior, is on the books at the Madrid-based club.

Alvarez said: “Mourinho told us that next year he won’t be able to come and give a talk to the coaches because he won’t be here,” the Canillas president told Spanish radio station COPE Deportes.

"If Mou goes it will be a big loss to Spanish football. I hope Florentino Perez sorts it out.”

Looks like Mou’s off then, but where? PSG and both Manchester clubs have been linked with the Portuguese master, but a return to former club Chelsea appears to be the best bet.
