PSV Eindhoven and Netherlands defender Erik Pieters has undergone surgery on his arm, which he sliced open punching a window after being sent off in his team’s 3-1 home defeat by PEC Zwolle.
PSV said Saturday Pieters had suffered ”damage to several structures in his underarm” in his furious reaction to a second-half red card Friday night. The club did not elaborate on the injury.
