At Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, PUMA hosted the Project Pink celebrity charity match, featuring both pro and former athletes, and celebrities too!
MLS stars Dwayne DeRosario (pink team) and Jay DeMerit (white team) coached the two sides.
FOX Soccer News’ Kara Lang interviews DeRo before the match.
Coach DeMerit celebrates with celeb player Connor Paolo as his team takes the lead!
The match featured US soccer legends Julie Foudy and Joy Fawcett, as well as current USWNT player Amy Rodriguez.

US legends Kasey Keller and Alexi Lalas also took the pitch — and yes, they’ve still got it!

Some of the celebrities that came out to play were Aimee Teegarden, Connor Paolo, Peter Dante, Charlie Bewley and Matt Lanter.

Lanter was surprised at how seriously everyone took the match — it was not a walk in the park!
There were thrills, spills and even a penalty shoot out! The final winner was hotly contested — well, maybe not that much, but there were some complaints — but in the end, the real winner was Project Pink with lots of money raised for breast cancer research and awareness raised for a good cause.
