American player hurt in women’s Bundesliga game.

Alexandra Singer, a 24-year-old American defender playing for Turbine Potsdam, a top side in the women’s Bundesliga in Germany, had a nasty collision with teammate Stefanie Mirlach on Sunday.

Fair warning: this video is not for the faint of heart.

Since then, Singer has been tweeting away from the hospital, even posting a couple of pictures of her stitches. She’s also sent out several updates and thanks to teammates, doctors, family and friends. We’re relieved to see that she’s in good spirits and on the mend!
