Meet FOX Soccer Plus’ First Hardcore Fan: David H.

“I often get asked this question: ‘Are your tattoos real - and why?’ Well, anyone who says tattoos aren’t addictive doesn’t have, that’s for sure!

“During college, a lot of my friends were getting tattoos of tribals or armbands, but I knew that I wanted to wait to get something I would never regret and somewhere where I could cover it up. Well, 12 years ago I got the Manchester United crest on my back - and that started the addiction. The placement of my tattoo was very fitting because I always said - and say - that I will never turn my back on the club!

“After that, I knew what was needed next: A collage to recognize my passion in life. Finally, I came up with a design, “The Three Things I Admire Most: The Fathers, Ferguson And The Munich Ghosts”. How many clubs have had three European Players of the Year in their same team? Not many, and those three players - Best, Charlton and Law - propelled United to unparalleled hieghts after one of sports most horrific tragedies. The Munich Air Disaster, almost single-handedly, made Manchester United the club it is today. A lot of people hold Sir Matt Busby in the highest regard, but, other than my father, there is no man that I respect and honor more than Sir Alex Ferguson.

“I thought that would have taken the rest of the space on my back, but I am glad that it didn’t!

“There aren’t too many clubs that have three world-class players in the same team at once - but Manchester United had it twice.
